How much is an old school bond worth? ›

At the bottom of the interface, the total value of all of the items is shown at the bottom on the centre. At the bottom-left, players can find prices of any item from the Grand Exchange to find their current price without the need of going to the Grand Exchange.

Right-click options for the untradeable bond in inventory are: Redeem, Convert, Deposit, Use, Drop, Examine. Redeem allows you to spend the bond. Convert allows you to make the bond tradeable again (for a fee).

You can determine the value for an electronic savings bond by logging into your TreasuryDirect account.

An old stock or bond certificate may still be valuable even if it no longer trades under the name printed on the certificate. The company may have merged with another company or simply changed its name.

Most transactions on the Grand Exchange are subject to a 1% tax, or convenience fee, capped at a maximum of 5 million coins per item.

Can I play via RuneLite with a Jagex account? Yes. You can access RuneLite through the Launcher.

Known Limit

This timer is based on the first item bought in the 4-hour slot. Regardless of the spread in time at which more items are bought after the initial item, 4 hours after the first item is bought, the buying limit is completely reset.

Ironman players are NOT able to do the following: Trade with other players (except certain quest items from Shield of Arrav and Heroes' Quest, as well as receiving bonds). Use the Grand Exchange to buy or sell any item except for bonds, which are purchasable (but not sellable) via a unique ironman-only interface.

The Price a bond trades for is entirely up to the players. Once traded, the Bond then becomes untradeable. Players wanting to sell the Bond onto another player (Player C) will need to pay a 10% cost of its current Grand Exchange value.

Can ironmen trade bonds? ›

Ironmen and bonds

Ironmen can get bonds as gifts from other players or through the official OldSchool website. They can also turn untradeable bonds into tradeable bonds, but ironmen cannot use bonds on any other players.

“The bonds mature after 20 years, at which point the U.S. Treasury will guarantee that investors have doubled their money.” If you have a Series EE savings bond, it pays to know the current value before deciding to cash it in, since in some cases waiting longer can earn you more interest.

If your savings bond from a Series other than EE, I, or HH has finished its interest-earning life, you could cash it and use the money for something else – a project, a financial need, or a new investment like an interest-earning savings bond or other Treasury security.

Put simply, when interest rates are rising, new bonds will pay investors higher interest rates than old ones, so old bonds tend to drop in price. Falling interest rates, however, mean that older bonds are paying higher interest rates than new bonds, and therefore, older bonds tend to sell at premiums in the market.
