Noah has provided regular updates about how his career is going since leaving the American Idol-affiliated record label, and his newest Instagram post showed off the singer attempting a new social media strategy to stay engaged with fans as he continues to pursue a country music career. He started off his video by admitting, "I'm trying to get better at social media."

Noah then proceeded to teach his Instagram followers how to change the oil in their vehicles. Early on in the video, it became clear he wanted to use humor as a way to create engagement with his followers. Whoever filmed him started moving the camera away, and Noah said in a fake exasperated tone, "Get the camera back up. I've told you. Up." The comments section of Noah's Instagram post was filled with fans praising the American Idol winner for showing off how funny he is. There were also several comments noting that they learned a lot from Noah's demonstration.
